Over the last year I’ve blogged about hundreds of products. I wish I could buy almost everything I post, but alas, there’s not much money to be made in professional lunacy. Since I like to make lists, I thought I’d share the ten things I’ve been pining for the most this year.
10. Wild Things Adult Wolf Pajamas
After I saw the film version of Where the Wild Things Are last November, I really wanted fleece pajamas like the ones Max wears. The Irongate Gallery carries them for $149. Not only do they look snuggly, but I think they’d be perfect for curling up in front of a scary movie because they’d make me feel brave.
9. Silent Order Photobook
I posted about German photographer Silent Order last February. Since then I’ve wanted the photobook available from Blurb. The photos feature gorgeous colors and inspiring fashion and makeup.
8. Artifice Clothing Ensemble
Artifice Clothing makes incredible PVC fashions. I LOVE the Cupcake Layered Ruffle Skirt with the Ophelia top and the WW Corset all in black.
7. Custom My Little Pony by Woosie
Woosie’s My Little Pony sculpts have me tempted by My Little Ponies for the first time since I was maybe six. I especially love her corseted ponies. Check out the post I did in March about Woosie and other pony scultpers.
6. Skull and Crossbone Tap/Faucet Heads
Someday, when I have the money to create my dream rock star bathroom, I’ll definitely be putting in these skull and crossbone tap heads with swarovski crystal eyes. I discovered them in January, and I’ve been fantasizing about them ever since.
5. A Camille Rose Garcia Painting
Since discovering her work last September, Camille Rose Garcia has become my favorite artist. Her dark and surreal landscapes speak to me. She gets bonus points for her use of sparkles. Someday I would love to own an original painting.
4. Spooky Town Rest in Pieces Mausoleum
I collect Lemax Spooky Town miniatures. There are lots of buildings I want, but my most wanted piece at the moment is the Rest in Pieces Mausoleum. I love the way that screams are heard from the crematorium as though someone is being burned alive — eerie. Unfortunately this building is being retired this year and it’s already difficult to find. I’m going to have to break down and buy it soon before it becomes completely unavailable and the price goes up on Ebay.
3. Haunted Memories Portraits
When I move into my aging Victorian manor I hope to cover a wall with Haunted Memories Portraits. As you walk by each old-fashioned looking portrait, the subject changes from stately to sinister. These are the best changing portraits I’ve ever seen. The little girls are my favorites.
2. Coffin Bookcase
I love the idea of coffin-shaped furniture. The piece that would be the most practical in my apartment is a coffin bookcase where I could display my jars of oddments and gothic books. The one in the picture sells for about $700 from Casket Furniture.
1. A Ruby Crush Absinthe Ring
I have the biggest crush on Ruby Crush jewelry. If I could buy any one piece of jewelry in the world their Absinthe Ring with precious stones would be the piece I’d choose. The ring above has white and yellow diamonds and black saphires. I would want a silver ring with white diamonds and either purple or black eyes. The Absinthe ring starts at 175 pounds.
