A new novel taking place in the Star Wars universe was released today called Star Wars: Death Troopers. Just in time for Halloween, the plot follows the most notorious criminals in the galaxy when their Imperial prison barge breaks down and strands them in space. After sending a crew of scavengers onto a mysterious floating Star Destroyer, they find a devastating disease that leads to unimaginable horrors. The dead don’t stay dead for long.
The mix of horror and sci-fi sounds like World War Z in space, but it’s getting good reviews from followers of the genre.
The book was written by Joe Schreiber, author of horror tales “Chasing the Dead” and “Eat the Dark.”
Do zombies have a place in the Star Wars world? Fine by me. I love the awesome cover art!
Star Wars: Death Troopers is available from Amazon in mass market paperback for $7.99.
Zombies should not have a place unless George Lucas says so as far as I am concerned. Did George Lucas say so?
