Another pirate post? Yes, deal with it. When other kids were thinking about being firemen, presidents, or running away to join the circus, I was drawing treasure maps and illustrations of sunken ships. So as long as I find new pirate-themed stuff there’s going to keep being pirate posts and you can like it or walk the plank. Savvy?
Wenches
Inspirations:

The model is wearing a discontinued Lip Service Pirate Coat (you may be able to find it on Ebay) but I like the way the whole look is put together.
Pirate Costumes for Women:

I think this costume has some great features with the cage skirt and arm warmers, but it's suspiciously cheap. Gothic Pirate Wench Adult Costume from Buy.com for $33.99

This Elegant Gothic Arisocrat Corset Pleated Vest from Fan Plus Friend would look even hotter if you switched the buttons to skull buttons, $104.99

Leather Mystics has pirate apparel like the Long Pirate Bodice Dress which starts at $189 and leather pants for $139

Ravenswood Leather crafts perfect pirate apparel for men and women like the Saberist Dress (left, $495) and the Surcoat Lady Captain (right, $675)
Pirate Hats and Accessories for Women:
Pirate Boots and Socks for Women:

Check out Sock Dreams website for lots of stripey knee high or thigh high socks like these Foot Traffic Burgundy and Black Striped Thigh Highs for $6

Black Pirate Boots come with black, red and purple ribbon to lace up the sides from Buy Costumes for $49.99
Cutthroats
Inspirations:

A zombie pirate at the Zombie March 5/29/11 in Boston via Cutting Monkey's Flickr photostream. I love the severed head in the net.

I found this picture of a sinister pirate on Nyghtbourne's Flickr photostream. Nyghtbourne is Nyght Craft Leather works and makes fine leather accessories like the skull pirate hat pictured. Visit nyghtcraft.com or look up Nyghtcraft Leatherwerks on Facebook for more information.
Pirate Costumes for Men:

Ghost Pirate Costume comes with •Jacket with attached Bone Shirt, Vest, and Belt; Pants, Skull Mask and Gloves, and Hat from Halloween Costumes for $74.99

To Be A Pirate has loads of basics like this John Cook Pirate Garb Set which comes with the pants and shirt for $71.95

Another good site for basics is Twin Rose Designs. Pictured are the Men's Reversible Black Faux Suede and Black Organic Cotton Twill Renaissance Doublet (left, $85) and Cotton Twill Renaissance Breeches (right, $70)

Ravenswood Leather crafts incredible leather coats for men like the Surcoat Privateer (left, $529) and the Surcoat Captains Longcoat (right, $695). Check out all of their pirate appropriate apparel.
Pirate Hats and Accessories for Men/Unisex:

The Gunner is a felt pirate hat, distressed, with a bullet hole, comes in tons of colors from Pyrate Trading Company for $55

For the best selection of authentic Pirate Hats, I always recommend Captain Jack's Pirate Hats. They do require a long lead time to order, however. Shown is their MacKay style oil and wax treated in black for $150.
Pirate Boots for Men:

Pirate Merch has lots of different styles of pirate boots for men and women including these Maverick Leather Thigh High Boots for $115.99

Caboots constructed boots for the second and third Disney Pirates of the Caribbean films. They have several different styles including these Jack Sparrow Smooth Black Leather Pirate Boots for $295
I didn’t include weapons in this post because I’ve noticed a lot of parties and clubs don’t allow even prop weapons. But many of the websites that sell apparel also sell prop weapons if you’re interested. And for more ideas, you can look at a Pirate Costume Post I did in October, 2009 or a Pirate Hats Post from August, 2009.
